Services

Sundays:

9.30 am every Sunday: Welsh language service / Oedfa Gymraeg

11 am every Sunday: traditional English language service

Twice a month, on the 1st and 3rd Sundays: Sunday Celebration at 4 pm.

11-12pm English service

This is our traditional English language service which meets every Sunday morning at 11-12pm. We have a time together of worship, prayer, and listening to a message about God's good news to us from the Bible.

There is a warm welcome to all, and it is a great opportunity to get to know our community in Salem. We also believe that God has gifted all people, and as such these services are led by a range of different members of our congregation as well as visiting preachers.

If you have younger children you may like to join our Sunday Celebration which meets at 4-5pm on the first and third Sunday every month. If you wish to worship in Welsh then you are welcome to join the traditional Welsh language service which meets at 9:30-10:30am every Sunday.

9:30 -10:30 am Welsh Service

Every Sunday morning, we meet at 9.30 to worship God together through the medium of Welsh. There is always a warm welcome for everyone who walks through our doors, especially for those learning Welsh. A number of our congregation have learned Welsh as a second language.

We enjoy celebrating God’s love through prayer, music and sharing teaching from the Bible as well as getting to know each other better over a cup of tea or coffee after the service in the vestry. Often, people who attend our English service join us before their service begins which gives us an opportunity to meet up with each other.

4-5pm Sunday Celebration

A relaxed and informal service open to all, with groups for children, young people and adults. Everyone from all ages is able to participate at the Sunday celebration, and we love to hear what God is teaching us through our younger members!

We spend the first half hour reading the Bible together, worshipping, praying and sharing stories of where we have seen God at work in our lives.

In the second half hour we split into three different age groups; primary school age, secondary school age and adults where we have the opportunity to deepen our understanding of Jesus, and what he is asking us to do.

If you would like to worship in a more traditional way, you are welcome to join our English language service at 11-12pm, or our 9:30am Welsh language service, both of which meet every Sunday.
